Scholarship Scam

This scam consists of being asked for a redemption fee or to cover processing costs for a scholarship. It may also take the form of a seminar that promises results of getting a scholarship. These scams target young people because of their educational goals.

Fake Job Scam

These scams consist of posting attractive jobs with above-average salaries. If the positions are remote, after the mailing of a first check that will bounce, then you are asked to send an advance for your equipment. It can take many different modus operandi.
